The Miss Oak Harbor Scholarship Pageant takes place in the spring and is open to 9th- through 12th-graders who identify as female and who live within Oak Harbor School District or attend a school within the district.
The pageant is a unique 6-week program that focuses on personal and professional growth through the development of leadership, communication, and marketability.
Our goal is for all participants to gain confidence, self-esteem, and a sense of accomplishment that will enable them to serve as role models for the youth of their community.
Contestants develop lasting friendships while competing to win thousands of dollars in scholarships and awards.
Sensitive to the coronavirus pandemic, the Board of Directors has decided to re-launch the Miss Oak Harbor Scholarship Pageant (after a 3-year hiatus) as a virtual event for 2021, on March 13.
Pageant work and scoring will take place through Zoom and other electronic means. Any in-person activities will be conducted while adhering to all Covid restrictions.
Pageant night will be live-streamed for family and friends to enjoy from the comfort and safety of their homes.
While some pieces of the pageant will have to be changed to accomodate the virtual format, the 2021 pageant will offer some new and exciting opportunities for contestants.
The Miss Pioneer Way Pageant is a 1-day event that takes place in June and has a patriotic theme. It is open to those ages 0-14 who identify as female and who have, at some point, travelled along Pioneer Way in Oak Harbor.
This is an all-natural pageant; no make-up is allowed.
The reigning Miss Oak Harbor royalty organize and run the Miss Pioneer Way Pageant as a fundraiser for their service project. They teach the contestants a little dance and coach them in walks, turns, and stage presence.
